Waypoint Recovery Outreach

Outreach Services

Partnering with Sober Mountain LLC, Waypoint provides flexible outreach services for clients and their families for continued growth and recovery.

Workforce Development

We help clients develop skills to obtain and maintain employment in the workforce through various models including groups to educate individuals in the field of their choosing combined with skills centers for hands on training with licensed professionals or peers with significant background and experience. We utilize AHCCCS workforce assistance where offered and accessible. We have buildings designated to facilitate hands on training for trades such as carpentry, automotive, horticulture, entrepreneurship, culinary and other sub-specialties within those categories

Our primary population is adults 18 and up in rural Arizona in Navajo and Apache counties along with surrounding areas. We service anyone regardless of race, color, creed, sex and or sexual orientation. We have a diverse staff including Spanish speaking and LGBTQ, and such accommodations provide the the space and freedom to practice beliefs and the use of other resources to facilitate cultural and religious practices.

Clinical Groups

Our clinical groups offer a variety of addiction education approaches to reach a wider audience. We use dialectical therapy to promote vulnerability and create a safe place for clients to be open and be honest with others regarding their substance abuse causes and conditions. We use mindfulness-based cognitive group therapy (MBCT) through guided meditation to familiarize clients with healthy mindfulness leading
to a collective shift in energy and influencing the functioning of the whole as well as the individual. These and other clinical group participation hours are required daily in all our programs, whether 30, 60, or 90 days.

12 Steps Program

We facilitate 12-step treatment by systematically linking clients to local NA, and AA and encouraging their active participation in community-based 12-step mutual help organizations. We also integrate 12 steps within our cognitive-behavioral problem-solving framework. We approach 12 step facilitation by leveraging AA and NA as platforms for clients to make recovery-supportive changes to their social networks as well as matching group content to core principles of AA. Clients are required to choose either AA or NA attend meetings, get a sponsor, and start the 12-steps process by week 3 of intake.
